Hi all! It's been a while. I have to admit something: I'm completely head-over-heals addicted to Minecraft.

Right now I'm on an exclusive server. There are only 6 people on the server right now.

Besides working on my floating cube-island we're building up an NPC village. So I got my hands full. It's tremendous fun.

Look for my AdventureQuest Worlds recap soon, outlining some of the releases and changes in the game over the last several months. I'm also going to move some HeroQuest content from my HS blog to here. I just can't get into that game any more.

An Unexpected Diversion

Hello, Artix Entertainment addicts! I've missed a lot of posts recently because I finally started playing Minecraft, which I bought and down-loaded by hadn't opened. Then a webmaster/ blogger (much like myself) created a page for Minecraft and I got curious.

And I've been playing it like 24/7. I haven't logged into AQW or HeroSmash or Pony Vs. Pony or DragonFable or any game!

Yeah, Minecraft is that good.

When (if?) I get bored of it I'll start ranking my new ChronoCorrupter and Paladin Slayer classes.

I think I'm going to miss all the turkey day festivities in AQW.

Recognizing Great Players

The two questions I see the most are, "How do you get a free membership?" and "Who is the best player?"

The answer to the first is easy: You can't.

The second is much more difficult. What is "best"?

I've been thinking about how to answer that question. Since I can't play with all 1 million players I can't see who has the best skills. I also can't fight everyone in PvP- there's just not enough time.

The only way I know is to look at a player's character page. It shows the level, the badges, classes, and items. It shows whether or not the player has any fashion sense. It also shows how obsessed the player is with Nulgath.

So instead of saying a certain character is the "best" I'm going to give recognition to those players who spend a lot of time and effort in the game.

Starting yesterday I've been looking at many character pages. I've been making notes about their badges, their classes, their names, and other characteristics.

Tonight I'll post to the Best Players page what I've found. This isn't an award. It's recognition. A nod to the work these players have put in.

If you think you're outstanding in a particular area or just awesome in general, post a comment with your character's name.

The minimum requirements are:

Levels 43 to 45
At least 16 badges
At least 10 classes
At least 5 Rank 10 classes

I'll tell you right now, the front-runner has 31 badges and 24 classes. Can you beat that? How about Nulgath items: One character has 24 Nulgath items in his bag. What do you have?

Make sure you keep all your classes and Nulgath items in your inventory bag until you see an OK from me in this post.

Q: In AQW why does my story of Doomwood in Book of Lore not have check even though I already finish the story?
A: I discovered the same thing. I believe you need to finish all the alternate endings to have Doomwood checked off.

Q: How do I get badges in AdventureQuest Worlds?
A: I get this question two or three times a week. Luckily, PaxLamprey has a page on that topic: How to Get AdventureQuest Worlds Badges.

Q: In AdventureQuest Worlds, how do I refer a friend?
A: First you need the referral link. From the main AQW menu click "Manage Account" and log in. From the menu on the left, click "Referred Friends." You referral link will be there along with a list of referred friends.

Q: What's the easiest way to get Arcangrove level 10 rep?
A: Clicky!

Q: Who are the best players in AQWorlds?

2012 Calenders: The Year of Chaos calenders are still available but they won't be for long. Included this year: Chrono Corrupter armor for AQW and DF and a rare card for Battleon Battle Card game. "Great deal!" is what Alexwolf said about it.
AQW 11-11-11 Portal: Special release this week in AQW centered around the mysterious portal in town, behind the tower in Battleon. Probably has to do with dragons.
HeroSmash PvP: Slated for December 9th. Members will be able to play this week on Thursday, 11-10-11. There will be a badge for those who test PvP.
Pony Vs Pony: If you haven't checked out PvP in a while there's been some cool changes over the last two months. These include multipliers, equipping up to three pets at a time, and a lot of bugs are fixed.
Question: Does anyone play Bladehaven anymore?
Badges: Pax put together a little page about getting badges in AQW. So I one-upped the page and put together a "poster" of all the badges in the game. How many do you have?
Newest Badges: I haven't seen anyone with the limited edition T-shirt badge or the new calender badge. I'll add them as soon as I see them.

Got My Badges and Ranked

I completed the They Might Be Giants quests yesterday and go my badges! The release was really cool. AQW keeps getting better all the time!

I also managed to rank up my Card Clasher to 10. Finally! Now I have a long list of classes to rank up:

Pony Vs Pony Updates

There's a Pony Vs Pony page outside this blog. It's still a little basic but it'll expand with finer points.

A lot of the initial bugs have been cleared up in PvP. The problem with the Friends page seems to be fixed. There's a annoying but not devastating bug that freezes your pony's picture as a fluffy shimmery pink cloud. Clearing the game will fix it temporarily.

Also, a lot of new items have been released.

Leveling is a lot easier now that the 640/64 bug was fixed. You can now battle high level ponies to get xp a lot faster.

Best update of all? You can now adjust the quality, speeding up the game. Look for the "Q" in the upper right hand corner.

Pony Vs. Pony

Pony Versus Pony is up and running. I have to say it's the lamest game I've played... for four hours! It's freakin' addictive as crack dipped in chocolate.

The game is simple. Right now it's a bit laggy but there weren't any glitches which is weird for an Artix game. I'm used to all kinds of bugs in new AE games.

Here's the outline of the tutorial for those who like to skip instructions like me:

Click and drag to connect at least four Game Orbs in a row. Connect them horizontally and vertically. The more you can connect the stronger the attack.
Click and drag to connect at least four attack orbs to attack your pony friend. The more you connect the bigger the attack.
Click and drag to connect up to four (pink butterfly) attack orbs to build your defense wall. The more you connect the more you build up your wall. You can see how much you've built up in your Battle Stats.
Click and drag to connect at least four candy orbs to muse your MagiPet's spell. Different MagiPets have different spell attacks and may require more candy.

Hints

Battle the highest level possible to earn more gems and experience points.
If all the pony friends you can battle are low level, go back to the main screen then try again.
Go fast. You don't have to wait for your pony battle buddy to make his turn.
Try to get the biggest combos possible.
Check your experience point bar on the main page. Look for the "Level Up" button on the bar. You have to complete a challenge battle to level up. You will waste XP if you don't level up immediately.

DragonFable Character ID Numbers

After languishing for several months I've seen an increase in the number of DragonFable ID Registry submissions.

For those who don't play DF much, there are two reasons to get player IDs for DF. First is for Player-versus-Player. Actually, it's for Player-versus-Artificial Player because you don't actually play against another player in real time. The game engine controls the other player.

The second is for special quests where you can have someone help you. In this case, you need to pick a player ID that is equal to or less than your own level. This is because in DragonFable, monster levels change with the player levels. So if you're a level 12 and you have a level 65 helper for the quest, the monsters will be at level 65.

So head on over and submit your own player ID number.

Temporary Rank Boosts

One thing I really wanted in AQW was a boost for ranking. Because I collect classes I want to rank them all up to 10 but it's a chore. Hours and hours of grinding.

Today Cysero announced on Twitter: "By your request, trying to add Rep Temporary Boost and Class Rank Temporary Boost (liked gold and XP boost items) to AQW."

My New Armors

Okay, I might have complained about all the new armors but I gotta have them! I collect armors and want every one in the game. Here's a list of the armors I got over the last couple weeks:

Evolved Shaman
Evolved Shaman AC
UndeadSlayer
Necromancer AC
Chaos Shaper
Ranger

The one I'm most excited about getting is the Ranger armor. This took for freakin' ever to get. It was harder to get than the Shaman armor, that's for sure.

Right now I'm ranking up my Cardclasher armor. Then I think I'll work on the Ranger.

So far my favorite armors are Dragonlord, Cardclasher, Shaman, and Healer. Yes, healer.

The healer class is one of the most satisfying and difficult to use properly. It takes a lot of practice and know-how to use it. Here's a guide by PaxLamprey about the Healer (and Acolyte) class.

New, New-new, and Old-new in AQW.

I was going to do a massive post to get caught up in AQW for the last two months I've been gone. There has been a lot going on! New classes, new events, a new music group affiliated with AQW! Wow!

But is any of that really new? Aside from the awesome Doomwood story what is really new?

Class changes:

June 10th: Necromancer (re-released) with two different types: Earned and AC. You can actually have both! This is actually a new change to the game fundamentals.
July 1st: Paladin and DoomKnight get buffed and are harder to get. With a Rank 10 passives added to the game, this is actually new also! Now there's a reason to rank up to 10.
July 8th: Chaos Shaper released. Eh, just another rare armor for supporters.
August 1st: Evolved Shaman, UndeadSlayer released. Some more classes using the Necromancer dual-attainment thing. Not really new.

Remember, I collect classes. Take a look. But it stopped being fun to rank them up.

Other new stuff:

June 17th: Friends list cap goes to 40. Um. So?
June 24th: Gold cap goes to 4 M. Yes! Okay, I love this release. But it's just another raise in caps. See June 17th.
June 24th: Ads for dying! This is actually innovative enough to make some gamer websites. AE is pioneering ads for death and making an impact on the industry. Rather impressive if you're a member because you can disable the ads. Non-mems have to suck it up.
July 15th: ArcAttack! Are you impressed? Did you love them? Wanna add them to you're Twitter follow and add them as a Friend in Facebook? Me neither.
July 16th: LQS. I just no longer care about buying new costumes. I have my Dage armor and a few rares and I'm good with that.
July 19th: Google Translate on home page. What took so long? Srsly. I've had a translator on my blog for years because I realized really early that some of the biggest AQW fans live in Brazil, Portugal, and the Philippines. AND those players have had translators on their excellent blogs for a long time, too. Just Google AQW and Brazil and check it out.

Why are you so mean!?

You have to remember that I love AQW and would recommend it and support it no matter what. One look at my character page shows that I've spent a lot of time and real money on AQW and will do so for a long time.

In the design notes we learn that the paladin and doomknight classes are getting buffed with level 10 passive abilities. Also, they will be much harder to get! If you're interested in these mem-only classes get them before Friday.

"Currently the DoomKnight class is 10,000 gold and Member (located in ShadowFall). On Friday due to how powerful it is becoming, it will require rank 10 Warrior, rank 10 Healer, rank 5 Evil Faction and Member.

Currently the Paladin Class requires rank 10 Warrrior and rank 10 Healer and member (located in /join swordhaven) On Friday it will require Rank 10 warrior, rank 10 Healer and rank 5 Good Faction and Member."

Taking a Break

Hi, all! I wanted to leave a quick note that I will be taking a break from SFT AQW blog for a couple months. I'm back-logged on several other projects and need to get caught up.

Right now I'm putting the finishing touches on my HeroSmash Complete Powers blog. There's some tweaking to do to make it just right. I'm also finishing up the Complete Powers Spreadsheet, which is currently the largest and most thorough list of HeroSmash powers on the net.

I'm working on my static pages, which are getting rather old and dusty. These include:

Quick hints for new Smashers

Here are some quick tips for those who are new to HeroSmash. I'll add to it as we go along.

Character Creation

Make sure you get every kind of equipment when you make your new character, especially the Darkness armor, which will go rare. You can sell whatever you don't want and make enough money to buy abilities and/or different armors.

Buying Abilities

Don't waste a ton of money buying new abilities every time you level up. That's a great way to go broke fast. Instead, just buy one or two when you hit level five, then buy new abilities every 3 to 5 levels.

It's also a good idea to have a mixture of low-, med-, and high-level abilities because they cost more energy to use at higher levels. If you're running low on energy it's handy to have a level 1 skill that costs 5 energy to use.

Quick Start

The fastest way to start the game is to sell off whatever you don't want when you created your character then buy armor/ weapons/ etc, that you like. Buy one- only one- ability. Then head over to the alley (/join alley) and pound on Chudlings until you have all the Radiating Hands up to level 8. By then, you'll be level 5, have lot's of money, and are ready to start quests.

Recommended Abilities

I recommend two abilities: Focus and Radiating Hands. Get these.

HeroSmash Beta Awesomeness

The Beta launch for HeroSmash is freakin' overwhelming! I mean that in a good way. There are a lot of great changes in the game, new areas, monsters, quests, and functionality. The HS team really exceeded my expectations in a big way. There's so much to go over that I get to use a bulleted list!

HALDroid is cool. Right now it accesses the special shops, gives you lists of quests, and has your mentor. It also tells time!
If you have a VIP account (upgraded account), your name will be in teal (blue/green).
They are giving access to a lot of new shops and items for account holders:

AQW Founders can buy the Chaos armor- my fave!
HS Alpha testers can access the soon-to-be rare items in the Alpha shop.
HS Founders can access the Founder shop and the Dark Vengeance Shop.
There's also the Ultimate shop, but you have to drop a good chunk of money to get to it.

When you upgrade your account, all of your characters on your account get the goods. So all three characters will get the SmashCoins and access to the rare shop.
You can have a good, evil, and gevil (or is it evood? whatever, neutral or chaos) character if you upgrade.
New favorite ability: Focus! Never run out of energy again!
Healing is gone for now... that's too bad because Healing plus Focus = Unstoppable Combo!

HeroSmash is Live!

HeroSmash Beta is now live, although it's laggy and buggy. I'm playing around with the HALDroid, which is awesome. Since I upgraded, I have access to all the special shops. I'm definitely getting the Alpha Chaos armor!

Best Powers in HeroSmash

I finished the spreadsheet of all powers currently in the game. I looked at them in a number of different ways because "best" might mean the most damaging, the cheapest energy cost, highest DoT (damage over time), etc. Here are the results:

Highest Damage: Crosscut, Level 10, 84 average damage
Highest Total Damage: Fireblast, Level 10, 98 average damage (including DoT)
Most Efficient: Horror, Immolate, and Venom (same stats), Level 10, does 10 damage per energy spent.
Most Useful: Radiating Hands, Level 8, 10 energy with a 2 second cool-down and averages 58 damage (including DoT).

I'm sure all powers will get buffed and nerfed constantly during Phase III. When things change I'll try to update.

You'll notice I didn't include healing powers with this list. That's because healing isn't all that useful until the game has some bosses introduced. Right now, it's easier to respawn then heal.

Radiating Hands Better Than Fists

Phase three is great news for non-members in AQW. Anyone who upgraded any game in the AE family will be able to play HeroSmash! Just make sure the upgraded accounts are linked to the master BattleOn portal account.

Scroll of Evasion Rocks!

I usually ignore all scrolls and potions except for health, mana, Water of Life, and Lifesteal. But last night I was trying to get through J6's defense turrets and couldn't. I looked up hints in the unofficial AQWorlds wiki and found a suggestion that you use a rogue to sneak by the turrets using the Footwork skill.

That didn't work out either. I just barely made it past the turrets and died.

Although I was a ghost, that was still closer to making it than before. I visited Reens and picked up a Potion of Evasion, hoping that would help.

When I combined Footwork with the Potion of Evasion, I casually strolled past the defense turrets. It was so freakin' easy!

For my rogue-based classes, I'll be adding a Potion of Evasion to my backpack.

Hello DragonFable... It's been a while

I can't remember the last time I played DragonFable. It's been long enough that I completely forgot all those little hints and tips that I published here in this blog myself!

Right now I'm working through the Orb chain... man, it's huge! It was a little slow at first, then I remembered two things that sped it up: I can equip the Dragonlord class and I didn't have capes, rings, and trinkets equipped. *slaps forehead* Duh-oh!

I even spent a little time leveling up my mana potions. I was at level five and spent a few minutes getting to level nine.

DF PvP Registry

A new feature in DF (at least new to me) is inviting a friend to help. When I was fighting Arkriloth the add-a-friend window popped up! I was going to head off to the forums to find a place where people left their ID# when I remembered I had my own page for that!

The DragonFable PvP Registry is a page I built three years ago this month. I invited people to register their characters so we all had a handy place to get ID# for PvP fighting. This registry works just as well, of course, when you need friends to help out in DF.

If you haven't added your DF characters to the PvP Registry, please stop by and do so!

DragonFable is Going to Ruin My Life

Okay, not quite that bad. But I'm going to end up wasting a ton of productive hours on DragonFable. Why? Because of user created dungeons!

I remember how many hours I spent making Starcraft maps. I love using creativity to create new stories, challenges, and maps. According to the design notes, DragonFable will be getting this feature next Friday.

From the design notes (thanks to a press release leak from ign!):

DragonFable fans will receive a pleasant surprise come Friday: a playable preview of user-created content. CardClasher Class

Some players collect pets, others collect Milt and Dage equipment. I collect classes. Not just collect them- I make it my mission to rank them up to 10! Right now I'm learning how hard it is to rank up when you're level 35. Working my Shaman, Evolved Clawsuit, and Chronomancer to 10 is hard work!

But I read in the design notes that... more classes are coming! Yikes! First, the CardClasher will be released with AE's new CCG. Next, there's some kind of mysterious class that will be released when the membership perks are released in the future.

Sometime in "Further... Further Into the Distant Future" people who've supported AQWorlds will be able to get a Axe Master armor for having upgrades for 3 months. Those with 15 months of upgrades (retroactive) will get a chance to get a non-member class of some kins.

As far as ranking goes, Orchestra isn't cutting it. I've been farming Wanders because the monsters are level 30. Anyone got a good place for a high-level character to rank up?

Q: How do you finish the Carpet Racer mini-game?
A: There's a bug in the game so you don't actually ever catch Sek Duat. After doing the game three times you should see an "End Button" even if you lost... which you did because you can't catch Duat. If you don't see the button, try emptying your browser cache and restart.

Q: How do you change your password in AQW?
A: From the main AQW screen, select "Manage Account." You will be directed to a log-in screen. After logging in, select "Change Password."

Q: Can you get ACs for battling monsters?
A: Nope.

Q: How do you get reputation for Good?

A: That's a matter of opinion. Most believe that the Dragonlord is the best class. However, most successful PvP groups have at least one healer. Also, plain old Warrior and Rouge do very well. The best answer I can give you is that the best class is the one you play the best, the one with which you have the most practice.

No Unlimited Bank Space for AQW

When Artix announced that the AQW team was working on unlimited bank space for all players I though it was too good to be true. And it was.

However, all current characters got 10 more backpack spaces! That's really awesome. That would cost 2,000 ACs if you had to buy them.

Also, the bank slots are now sortable. That means it will be easier to find that Black Knight orb you've kept in case you wanted to get to the Black Knight shop.

The cap for the backpack is now 100 and the bank is now 250. I thought that was ridiculous but... I might actually buy up to that! Let's see here- 100 slots times 200 ACs equals... I better start saving!

House slots are now up to 30, so now you can buy that carpet that you always wanted.

A: Pandora was the protector of the world. From what I understand, she was one of the few, if not the only, smasher on the planet. When she "met the one foe who possessed the power to consume our planet" she sacrificed herself. Her power went out into the world and created the smashers.

There is so much going on with AQW that I have to make a bulleted list! Yay!

Battle Under, Level 3, is coming this week.
Unlimited bank space is getting closer to being released.
With unlimited bank space comes the Limited Shops. Once the shop sells out of an item, it's gone forever.
EpicDuel T-shirts are on their way to the Secret Underground Lab. Rare Delta V armors come with them.
Artix is getting ready to release the AQW collectible card game! Hopefully a new class comes with it. Launched at Toys-r-Us in March.
The AE team is focusing resources on AQW which is why HeroSmash is stalling. Looks like skills might come out in HS late-February.

I created a new HeroSmash page that has all the information you need to play the game. Check it out and leave a comment if you like it, hate it, saw a mistake, or know of something I should add.

I added a poll to the page about what features you would like to see. One of the choices is

"Make your own comic book from your character."

That is possible and would be freakin' awesome! I can see a flash page with empty panels. You pick your backgrounds, drag your character and villains/ heroes/ NPCs into the panels, add some special effects (POW! BAM! SOCKO!) and dialog, and then you have your own comic!

Artix, please do that! I wanna make my own comics in HeroSmash.

AQW Sandsea and Bupers Camel Release

Things are getting exciting in AQW! This week we'll finally see the opening of a new zone, the Sandsea. We also get to see for the first time ever Bupers Camel. This legendary mythical beast has been roaming the back woods of Greenguard Forest granting mod status to anyone who can find it.

Along with the new zone will come new shops and- this is exciting- consumable food! Get your bag space expanded because you'll be able to buy equippable food items that will give you buffs. A new element to the game! Yesh!

Here's something really exciting: Beleen mentioned one of my characters in the design notes! My second-favorite character, Loki Bloodstone, is mentioned along with a really bad picture I did of Bupers Camel on my AQW page. This is more exciting than when I won a DF screenie contest way back in March, 2007.

It looks like I have a lot of work to do in AQW because I have three armors I need to rank up. My Evolved Clawsuit is not even enhanced yet. My Shaman is rank five and my Chronomancer is rank six. Lots of work to do there!

HeroSmash Update

I got to play HeroSmash the second it was released and got the name I wanted! Here are some points in a super-bulleted list:

The short-cut keys from AdventureQuest Worlds work in HS. V= display health, U= users, 1= attack, etc.
The "/join" command also works. /join park, /join mainstreet, etc.
There are some shops and quests to play around with.
I haven't encountered any major bugs since las night. Makes me kind of nervous...

Artix put up a big post about SuperHero Quest. Here's another excuse for me to make a bullet list (yes!):

The name might have to change. DC/ Marvel told AE to stop using "SuperHero Quest."
DC/ Marvel sort of suck. I blame Disney.
There's a secret working name but we won't know what it is until it comes out.
I'm calling the game HeroFable for now. Don't like it? Leave a comment with your idea.
Galanoth will lead the game. Thyton and Yergen von Smergenbergen are doing the art and animation.
Who's Yergen von Smergenbergen?
The art is done in a "vinyl" style. Looks like that YouTube video floating around was not a fake.
The game will not have classes. You will get individual skills.
As you level up you can get new powers, skills, and abilities.
Of course there will be flying!

There were several posts in the forums about AQW mems getting to test the game and everyone else was shut out. Artix bent over backwards and come up with this solution:

Phase 1: Everyone who supported the games will get to make an account.

Phase 2: One server will open to AQW mems only.

Phase 3: Multiple servers will open and all supporting players will join in.

AE 2011 Calender in Second Printing

I'm really thankful I was able to order my 2011 calender from Heromart before the first printing sold out. I can't believe how fast these things flew out of the store! My guess is: the Chronomancer armor. I collect armors and had to order the calender (which looks cool on its own, btw) to get it.

I'll probably get my Shaman class when the calender arrives. It takes a long-long time to get a 10 rep in Arcangrove. I still need another 70k rep to get rank 10. I'm averaging around 8k a day.

Here's a question for you: what's the deal with Dage's champion quests? I've done them nine or 10 times already and haven't got a single drop. I know, I know. He's Dage the Evil so of course he's messing with me. The doucher.

There looks like an airship themed area opening up. That looks really awesome. Looking forward to this week's release.

SuperHero Quest Needs Drama

I've been thinking about how I want SHQ to be built. Most players are centering on skills and powers for the upcoming super hero MMO. I've been more worried about how the game can have comic book depth and interest.

I don't read comics much anymore. But I used to collect every issue of every comic put out by Marvel. Blade, Spider-Man, the Avengers, and the X-Men where my favorites. There are reasons why I liked these specific comics and I hope AE can get those in the game.

First, the back story and the origin. Super heroes need an interesting past and a way they got their powers. Spider-Man was bitten by a radioactive spider. Wolverine was a mutant who was enhanced through mysterious circumstances. Blade was born to a vampire mother.

How can we get these elements into the game? I'm not interested in writing my own origin and having it on my character profile page. No one reads those things anyways. I want to play out my origin. I want to start as a geeky, unpopular teenager or a mutant on the run.

Playing an origin would mean that AE would have to make five or six starting quests. They could do it.

Then we need drama, compelling drama. Lots and lots of over the top, super-drama. This will come from NPCs, groups, rivals, and secret identities.

Peter Parker was constantly saving MJ and Aunt May. Mostly MJ, who had a knack for getting kidnapped. And Aunt May needed help with little things because she lived alone. SHQ could have dependent and love interest NPCs that need to be rescued. Even the bad guys have this (think Green Goblin from the Spider-Man movies).

None of my favorite comics had sidekicks. But most had supporting characters that would help the hero from time to time. It would be fun to have a sidekick. And a wise super hero mentor. That wouldn't be to hard for AE to build into the game. For villains, minions are a must!

And lets talk about super hero groups. Even Spider-Man joined the Avengers and the Fantastic Four from time to time. How fun would it be to make your own super hero team? Freakin' awesome fun! It should not be like a guild, though. Super hero teams don't have big memberships, four to twelve people. Multiple memberships would be fun.

Spider-Man and the Green Goblin. Fantastic Four and Dr. Doom. The X-Men and Magneto. We simply have to have arch-rivals in SuperHero Quest. What good is a super hero or super villain without his or her nemesis?

Then there's the "normal life" part of a super hero's existence. I'm talking about jobs, going to school, keeping the secret identity a secret, romantic love interests, science experiments in underground labs/ lairs. Let's see that in SHQ. Please.

Players will certainly create their own drama and groups will supply the platform from which it will develop. AE can supply the rest with the daily life of the hero.

I'll probably play SHQ for a little while even if it's just a super hero game built around the AQW game engine with no drama and tons of clicky-clicky grinding. It all depends on how it develops.

Spending cash on new outfits, enhancements, potions, and what-nots I've found myself broke again. So I searched around looking for the best place to farm gold. Guess what, it's still at Dwakel.

And actually it's better than ever! Before you had to go somewhere else to sell your loot. Taravya has a shop now (the enhancement shop) where I can easily ditch my ill-gotten goods and get back to farming Dwakels.

SuperHero Quest Frenzy

In my vigilance to keep on top of the SuperHero Quest launch I've been digging around the corners of the interwebs. I've found some interesting tidbits about Artix Entertainment, some old AE games and sites, and a lot of rumor and speculation.

Here's all I know about SHQ right now:

It'll go into Beta in November. We don't know when.
AQW members will be Beta testers.
Maybe members of other games will be Beta testers.
The SHQ site redirects to the BattleOn Portal.

I did find something interesting, at least for me. The creators of my favorite unofficial AQW wiki have already started on an unofficial SuperHero Quest wiki. I like the AQW wiki because it has facts and hints the official wiki doesn't.

Looks like we're all ready for this game. Now Artix has to get back from that convention and get to work on it!

Arcangrove Rep Farming

The Road to Shammy-ness

In order to get the Shaman class you need to have a 10 rep in Arcangrove. This will take a long, long time. Here's a guide that will help players get the most out of the rep quests in Aracangrove.

The quickest way to gain rep, besides doing the story-line quests, is to get the quests from the four NPCs at Arcangrove (/join arcangrove). The NPCs are:

Rayst, with two rep quests, outside the building.
Reens, with two rep quests and three daily quests, inside the building, bottom transporter pad.
Moonrath, with two quests, middle transporter on the right.

All 10 Quests

Blakk, with two quests, middle transporter on the right.

When you first start, you should have 10 quests that will get you rep. That includes Reens' two daily quests (don't do the Experiment 107 quest, I'll explain later).

To do the quests, go one screen to the right of the starting area with Rayst. You'll find two Gorillaphants and one Seed Spitter. Clobber them until you finish all 10 quests. Pay special attention on getting to the Seed Spitter, which many players forget about.

Hint: If you don't see any players there to help, try a different room. Type "/join arcangrove" in the text bar and see if you can find a filled room. You'll have the most help on crowded servers where players trying to gain rep are doing the same thing.

I takes about 15 minutes with my level 33 and level 18 characters to finish the quest. The net rep gained from all 10 quests will be 2,990 to 4,000 rep and a ton of experience and rank points.

After you finish, you can go at it again and it will only take about five minutes because the daily quests from Reens won't be available until tomorrow. You'll have eight quests total.

Experiment 107: Elders Blood Potion

Don't do the 107 quest from Reens unless you want the potion. This quest needs 50 slain Gorillaphants and gets you 800 rep. If you turn them into Rayst's Gorillaphant Poaching quest, you'll get 1,050 rep, and probably more.

You can collect many more Slain Gorillaphants than the 7 the quest calls for. You'll probably have something like 30 or 40 when all of the other quests are done. So after you turn in the quest the first time, accept it again, then turn it in again.

Paddylump of Mudluk

Other Daily Quests

The two daily quests outside Arcangrove main are from Ewa, in the Cloister (/join cloister), and Paddylump, in Mudluk (/join mudluck). Both of these daily quests will net you 1500 rep each. Lower-level players (under level 30) should skip it and stay with the four quest-givers in Arcangrove because there will be little help with these quests.

Since these quests send you to the other area, Paddylump's quest sends you to the Cloister and Ewa's quest sends you to Mudluk, get the quest in one area, finish in the other, and then grab the second quest on the way out.

BladeHaven Release

I played the BladeHaven Beta release and was impressed. This game is not your typical AE fare, being a first-person game. I liked the graphics and controls. What I didn't like was you had to spend BattleOn Points for potions! I'm not a fan of that.

There's lots of achievements in the game and the flow is good. I might play it off and when when the mood strikes me.

Happenings and Goings Ons

Wow! There's a lot going on at AE right now! Here's a bulleted list of stuff you should know:

BladeHaven Beta starts tomorrow, October 14th. Check to see if you qualify for Beta testing.
AE has a new novel that will be out in November, The Dragon's Secret. It will be available at Hero Mart. Of course it will have an in-game perk.
AQW's level cap has been raised to 35. I'm amazed that people have already made it to the top! I've been using Twilly's XP Boost (150 ACs) to help. Only up to level 31.
AQW's pumpkin carving contest has started and will run until the end of October.
On Friday, October 15th, the next Chaos Beast will be unleashed on AQW.
The previous year's Mogloween will also be released on Friday. This will give players a chance to catch up.
This year's Mogloween will be released on October 22nd, unless they melt the servers (hey, it can happen at AE).
November 2nd is the deadline for Second Upholder status.

Too many armors! Too many outfits!

There are a lot of really cool items being released, like the anti-Artix costumes. My bag space is overflowing right now with stuff!

I remember when the coolest armor you could get was Phoenix plate. I think I'm going to wear mine for a while just for old-times sake.

I still wear my noob armor just for giggles. It's fun to have people send me a message, "Why is a level 30 wearing nub stuff?" It's because in PvP I want people to ignore me!

I don't play PvP much anymore so I'm thinking about selling my noob stuff to make room for all the awesome Halloween stuff that will be coming out soon!

BladeHaven Beta this Thursday!

BladeHaven is a mini-game that will be released on the BattleOn Games site. This first-person RPG will be open to members of every AE game: "Guardians, DragonLords, Star Captains, AQWorlds Members and... um... we have no idea what Epic Duel players that upgraded are called" (AQW Design Notes).

A lot of people have been anxious to see this game. A lot more are just curious. In any case, this Thursday will be the day to see it. In the mean time, here's a little something to wet your appetite:

First, let me say that needing a 10 Rep in Arcangrove to get the Shaman class is painful. It takes forever to level up rep. But, I must have it!

And I think it's great that non-mems can get it.

Here are the stats for the class as posted in the design notes:

Ancestor’s Flame
10 Mana, 4 second cooldown
Deals moderate damage to up to three targets, and applies Scorched Spirit. Damage increased by Elemental Embrace.

Hydrophobia
15 mana, 4 second cooldown
Deals moderate damage to up to three targets. Any damage caused to targets affected by Scorched Spirit will heal the shaman for a portion of the damage dealt. Healing increased by Elemental Embrace.

Dry Lightning
40 Mana, 16 second cooldown
Deals heavy damage to the target. Damage increased by Elemental Embrace.

Ancestral Teachings
Passive Ability
Intellect increased 15%

Primal Fury
Passive Ability
Crit chance increased by 8%

Elemental Embrace
60 mana, 16 second coodown
Deals light damage to target and applies Elemental Embrace, negating all target Evasion and Critical Strike chance. This effect also makes the Shaman’s spells more powerful, and gets stronger the more spells the Shaman casts against the target.

I suppose the idea is to cast Elemental Embrace on a target then use the buff to make the other abilities better. But at 60 mana, I'm not seeing this as a great idea. Can you imagine what would happen in PvP if you blew all of your mana on one target?

Daywalkers rule SuperHero Quest?

This is surprising. I put a poll on my SHQ page asking what origins were most wanted. I was expecting mutants to rule with Iron Man-type powers coming in second. Instead, Blade is taking first place with the Sorcerer Supreme, Dr. Strange, tying mutants in second! Looks like you guys like magic and vampires!

I created a SuperHero Quest page to keep track of the game while it is being developed. I hope that I can get into the Alpha testing like I did with DragonFable, MechQuest, and AQW! If I do, I'll post updates here and on the SHQ page.

There's not a lot of information yet about the game so far. I've been surfing the forums and keeping an eye on the SHQ homepage.

Now let's have a chat. See, there are those who think that a new MMO will be the end of AQW or Artix Entertainment. Nope. That's not going to happen. Here's a bulleted list of reasons why SHQ is going to be good for everyone:

First, Adam knows what he's doing (Artix's real first name). I've been playing his games since 2004 and he is an expert on these type of games. Every time Artix entertainment has added a game, people say that it's going to be too much. Don't worry. Trust Artix. He's good at what he does.
Second, Artix Entertainment already has great talent. Yes, some of it will migrate to the new game. But there are no bad artists or programmers on Artix's staff, including the new ones we're going to see.
Third, let's talk about the economies of scale. I'll put it very simply: More games means more shared resources means lower costs means lower prices! Yay!
Fourth, a company that does not take risks does not change.
Fifth, a company that does not change stagnates.
Sixth, a company that stagnates dies.
Seventh, some people don't like playing MMO's, scifi RPGs, or any game that has to do with swords. A superhero game will broaden Artix Entertainment's customer base.
Eighth, perks for AQW members!
Ninth, the n00bs will migrate to the new game giving serious PvPers a break.

The addition of a new game is exciting. I feel like I'm going to be an uncle!

Combat Trophy Cap

I'm a little irritated because there's a 500 cap on combat trophies. That is, you can't have more than 500 in your inventory. And Dumoose is on vacation so I can't turn them in to get more. What the heck?

Since PvP was the only interesting thing I've found in the game I don't see a reason to play until Coinbiter leaves and Dumoose comes back :P

Where's Dumoose?

Where is Dumoose, the PvP NPC of Battleon? The giver of PvP rewards, medallions, and potions? Where the heck is the guy? Oh Dumoose, where for art thou?

The short answer: On vacation.

Dumoose was taken out of Battleon to make room for Quibble Coinbiter. You'll have to wait to turn in those PvP trophies until he gets back.

If you want a PvP necklace, you're out of luck. But potions are available from Reens in Arcangrove.

Can't wait until Quibble goes the heck away.

Also, you may have noticed the "x" button no longer works to take you to PvP. My guess is that they disabled it because people were signing up for the PvP queue while still in PvP! If they didn't like how the battle was going, they'd just jump into another match without finishing the one they were in.

J6 Live Event Awesomeness

J6 Live Drawing Event

I watched most of the live event and it was a lot of fun. J6 makes drawing look so easy! While he was drawing he asked players what kind of sword they wanted, what the name should be, and what color it would be.

The Chuck Norris craziness began when they asked for the name of the sword. Most of the suggestions were normal, like Dragon's Fury, Dragonsmaw, Eternal Dragons Thingy, and finally, Chuck Norris Dragon Blade.

At first, most players asked for a pink sword. Artix vetoed that idea. So it came down to player suggestions of red, purple, and Chuck Norris! Okay, so it started as a joke. But J6 did something unexpected- he actually colored the hilt of the sword Chuck Norris!

J6 Live Event

I'm watching the J6 live drawing event right now. He's in the middle of making a dragon sword of some kind. The players are voting on the sword's name and color. Looks like the colors in the running are: red, purple (go Chaos!) and Chuck Norris... and I think Chuck Norris is winning!

LOL. J6 actually used Chuck Norris' beard to make the colors for the handle.

n00b Target

I wanted to see how the Defender class fared in PvP. Just like I thought, it kicks butt. Defender's major weakness is against stun attacks and accidentally drawing threat from monsters.

To beat a stun attack, I learned that using Defender's Oath will help. Casting it just before a stun attack heals a little bit of hit points then protects from more damage. Let that warrior whoop on me- they're not doing much damage.

Crushing Sweep attacks two targets. If you're near the enemy's monsters when you cast it, you're going to get ganged. So the work around is to not use it in the enemy's screens.

I played PvP for over an hour and was disappointed. Players still jump out of the game as soon as they know...
they're going to lose. Sometimes they leave for no apparent reason. I think PvP'ers should be stuck for the whole game or have to pay gold to play.

On the up side, I noticed a lot less cheating. Only one player was using the lag cheat, and nobody was using speed hack.

I did get into two great battles. The first was a 1v1 against a level 27 warrior. She beat me using great tactics. She knew what she was doing and how to win against a level 30. She couldn't beat me in a toe-to-toe slugfest but she knew how to get points on the board and win the round.

Following her tactics, I beat a level 30 member. Not bad. I wish I remember that girl's name so I can thank her.

The second was a 1v3, in which I was alone taking on a level 29, level 22, and a level 17. I ambushed them on my territory and fought all three of them at once. I managed to kill two of them in one round, all three in the next, and two more in the next. Then they all quit. I was quite satisfied with myself.

Twilly Twig

Since I'm not a member right now I can't use my favorite armor in PvP, which was Unarmed and Bodiless Horseman. So I decided to look as much like a newbie as possible. No reason I should look like that biggest target in the room.

I'm equipping Newbie armor over my Defender class. To finish off the look, I'm using a Kama and Simple Skull Cap. I'm thinking about getting a stick for a weapon to make the whole n00b thing better. If you have any ideas on how I can look even more noobish, let me know by leaving a comment.

Defender Class Rocks!

Hi all! Just a quick note for you.

The Defender class is awesome! It is a power house and the perfect tank class for the game. With virtually unlimited mana and a weak healing ability, it's the perfect class for tanking and every day adventuring. Other classes do more damage and others heal better, but the Defender is all-around the best class. I wish I had it when I was doing PvP regularly.

Another great thing about the Defender: It's non-mem. You need to have an upgraded Adventure Quest account but it's worth it. For a one-time payment of $20, you can get the Guardian and the Defender classes forever. No worries about your membership in AQW expiring.

I'm thinking about buying a DragonFable upgrade just to get the Dragonlord armor.

This is important to me right now because my membership did expire. That's okay, though. It's kinda fun feeling my way around the game as a non-mem. I've already been to all the member-only areas and ranked up most of my member-only classes to ten.

Missed All of June?!?

This is a quick note to let all of my fans (wait, I mean fan [thanks, Mom!]) know that I have not abandoned AQW, this blog, or Artix Entertainment. It's just that there's nothing exciting going on in the game for me right now. I don't really care about getting rares, although I did get one of the One Eyed Dolls weapons. I also picked up the non-mem capes at the Freedom Shop for when my membership expires. And for the most part all of my armors are ranked to at least six.

Here's what I'm waiting for before I go all crazy-obsessed with AQW again:

Player shops. Oh, come on, let's at least think about doing this!
Character porting. I have awesome characters on AdventureQuest, MechQuest, and DragonFable that I would really love to play in AQW.
PvP upgrades. There's no point in doing PvP right now. I have the armor, I've seen the same old map a hundred times. I want to see more maps or a different PvP game, like dueling, capture the flag, or whatever. At least give me something to spend my extra Combat Trophies on. I have 117 that are doing nothing but taking up a slot in my bag.
Professions. I want to make potions, armor, enchantments, and share them with my friends.

I'm still popping in from week to week to see if there's anything cool going on. The One Eyed Doll release was cool but I missed it.

New Favorite Place to Rank

Early this morning I was ranking at my new favorite place: the Beetles in Mythsong. Being level 30, it takes forever to rank up at Sleuthhound now. The Beetles are level 24 and are fairly easy to take down.

Should I rename the SSoFH? How about "The Secret Society of Furniture Haters and Beetle Bashers"? Naw.

There were five other level 30's ranking right with me. Needless to say, I ranked very quickly! It's fun to be in a group with such heavy firepower.

I'm looking forward to tonight's release. There doesn't seem to be a lot except for the new classes, an expansion to the dance game, and Coinbiter's return.

Guardian Class, Star Captain Class, and Dragon Amulet Class

Just read in the design notes that this Friday will see the release of three new classes. These are based on the other games:

1) The Dragonlord Class for verified DragonFable Dragon Amulet Holders!

2) The Starlord Class for verified MechQuest Star Captains!

3) The Guardian Class for verified AdventureQuest Guardians!

I have the Guardian and Starlord. I thought I was almost done ranking up classes (only Rustbucket and Rogue to go) and now I'll have two more. Yay! Looks like the Grateful Undead in Mythsong are going to get the crap kicked out them by me...

BTW- these are non-mem classes! I hope they don't suck.

There are slim pickings for the Bard Class in AQW as far as guitars go, and really slim pickings for non-members. This guide lists the currently-available guitars so the Bard can make the right decision on what kind of battle-instrument to purchase.

Questions and answers for AdventureQuest Worlds.

Q: How do I get the Bard Class in AdventureQuest Worlds?
A: The Bard Class will be available at Mythsong Canyon with the May 7th, 2010, release. You'll need a Mythsong reputation of 4 to get it.

Q: Where do I find the Chaos Goggles?
A: Ah, the perfect accessory for those who belong to Chaos! The goggles are dropped by the Chaos Spider and Marsh Smell-O in the Chaos Marsh (/join chaosmarsh).

Q: How come monsters won't drop gold anymore?
A: Probably because you reached 1 million gold. Buy some stuff to sell later if you want to continue getting gold from quests and monsters. Sell the stuff later when you need the cash.

Q: How can I get to the Etherstorm Wastes, Arcangrove, or Bloodtusk Ravine?
A: These areas aren't released yet. They'll be coming soon.

Q: How come you said that non-mems can play PvP? They can't!
A: Yes, they can! Non-mems can't join PvP through Dumoose in Battleon. Instead, use the "X" key and join that way. If the X key doesn't work, click on yourself and then try it. I promise, it works!

AQW PvP Tip

Some player might not know that you can refill your mana and health at your base at the regular rate. When you kill an opponent, run back to your base and rest. By the time your opponent respawns with full health, you'll have full health also.

Then it's back to the fight! Battleon!

Yay! A reason to use a bulleted list!

Special one-day shop: Today is the only day you can get your hands on Cinco de Mayo and Randor the Red items. I grabbed a set of color-custom Dragon Wings of Destiny daggers.
New class: The bard class is coming. Yay! But you have to have a Mythsong rep of 7. Boo! It took me months to hit a rep of 7 for Dwarfhold. *sigh* Lots of boring grinding coming my way.
Battleon Portal: Does this really do anything right now? It seems to be like the old NYI abilities in AQW. Not useful, taking forever to get fixed.
Dawn's OTHER daily quest: Most of know about the Burn it Down quest at portalundead for some easy cash. I tried Dawn's other quest, at portal, to see if I could get some more easy gold. My opinion- skip it. It took so long to get the drop I could have made the gold at the Crash Site.

SSoFH Tips

For those who belong to the Secret Society of Furniture Haters, I have a quick tip for you. If you're destroying desks and charring chairs at Sleuthhound, you can use abilities to quickly target the furniture of your hatred. Most classes have a cheap, quick attack as a first or second ability. If you use it, your character will automatically target the nearest devious divan for destruction.

This comes in handy when there are ten people grinding away in the furniture frenzy room. Now you'll never be left standing silently because of slow target clicking while everyone else is slicing side-tables and ranking up.

More PvP Page Updates

Last night I had the best PvP session yet. I was up against another level 25, just us two. In our first battle, he totally dominated me with his Berzerker class. This led me to switch up my tactics with my Paladin. Berzerkers use up mana like crazy but hit hard and fast. Instead of using my time and mana trying to drop him, I saved it for heals. He ran out of mana fast while I had plenty of HP and mana. Unfortunately, he quit before the game was over.

The rule for PvP seems to be: if you start to lose, quit. That leaves the winning team the boring job of killing the boss over and over until the battle ends. Maybe Artix and crew and put in a default? If all of the opponents drop out, how about giving the winning team some quick consolation prize instead of waiting forever for the game to end?

Or better yet, how about a total war. Let players drop in during the middle of a battle. That might be fun.

Mythsong Canyon Opens this Friday

Oh, that's why I didn't get my upgrade right away. According to today's design notes, there was a problem with the PayPal system and all kinds of people were affected. But Cysero said it's all being worked out and everyone will get what they paid for soon.

Also, Mythsong Canyon is opening this Friday. There's supposed to be a fully functioning town and a new class! Since Mythsong is a music-based area, I think they're going to release a bard class.

My prediction back in August was off by two months. I predicted it would take six months and Darkovia was released within eight. But, I did say it could take a year to open all of those Greenguard areas. That would have been worse.

So how's your PvP game going? I'm putting together a quick guide for PvP. It should be done by tomorrow.

More PvP Notes

I managed to get the werepyre slayer armor and helm. I'm not really interested in the sword but I might get it anyways.

I wanted to note that non-members can now do PvP. I was at Sleuthhound Inn doing my SSoFH duty when some players told another that PvP was member only. It's not- anyone can do PvP. Healing Potions and scrolls can also be used by non-mems, as well as the copper amulet.

I'm also up to level 25 and got my Pumpkin Lord to rank 8. Things are moving right along.

AQW PvP Tips

I spent about 10 hours in PvP and picked up some tips from other players. I'm hoping to have the werepyre slayer armor set by the end of the weekend. Here's what I learned:

Big fancy armor makes you a big fancy target. Equip the smallest set of armor you have. When I equipped Bodiless Horseman armor with Unarmed and unselected my cape, I was a floating head. Harder to hit.
If you don't have Bodiless and Unarmed, equip armor that looks noobish. Deselect your cape on the control panel.
See if your teammates will get organized. Put someone on defense to harass opponents going for the boss.
If the other team contains members of much higher level, jump out. You're not going to win and the one point isn't worth the ten minutes it will take to lose.
Move around! You're easier to hit if you're standing still. By moving around you can buy yourself a few seconds FTW!
Get the amulet from Dumoose. It's under "AC Shop." You'll need the extra hit points.
Get the healing potions from Dumoose. It's under "PVP Rewards."
If you find yourself alone, you might as well spend a few minutes to win and collect the rewards.
Experiment with classes to find the best one for you. The Paladin armor works well for me. Other people have luck with Assassin, Warrior, and Mage.

Woo Hoo! Membership Active!

Some of the problem was my fault. When I sent in the bug report on the missing membership on Monday, I filled it out wrong. When I sent it again, they got my membership loaded in less then five minutes.

Farming for Gold

I've been running around finishing up the Darkovia and Yokai quests and now it's time for some serious farming. I'm sorta bummed that they put a limit on the Burn it Down quest (/join portalundead) so I'm looking for a good place to farm. The crash site seems to still be an excellent place for farming and ranking.

At the crash site (/join dwakel) I get the first three quests and abuse poor Eugene the Unfortunate Grinding Dwakel. After getting the three quests done, it's a quick hop to a store to sell the goods, then back to the crash site again. It's a good balance of gold, rep, and experience.

The Sleuthhound Inn (/join sleuthhound) is still the best place to rank up. But I'm more interested in getting gold and experience right now.

I might hit the dragon's lair (/join lair) and farm there a little bit for kicks.

Yay! I have the passwords for my accounts... wait, that's not what I needed.

So I bought a three month membership and extra AC's for AQW on the 16th. Yesterday, since nothing happened, I filled out the email form on the AQW site. Today I received an email assuring me that everything was fine with my accounts and another email with all of my passwords, which I don't need.

Starting to go from to annoyed to confused to concerned.

Killing Tables and Where's My Upgrade?

It looks like smashing possessed furniture is still the way to go for fast ranking. And I'm most delighted that the respawn time is way down, so it's non-stop table and chair shredding frenzy fun. I have one non-mem class left to rank to 10, No Class.

I sent an email to Artix Entertainment last night about my missing membership. I'm a little annoyed that the money is out of my account but I don't have my membership access to the PTR and the mausoleum.

So I finally found a party that knew what they were doing. We got Wolfwing down to 100 HP and then... and then... the freakin' game logged me out for making a "request" too many times. That request was healing-like-a-muther-freakin'-non-stop-trying-to-stay-alive fest! I can't believe this!

Plus the upgrade I paid for still hasn't shown up. *takes deep breath* Okay, let's try this again.

Update: I logged back in and jumped into a party that was already going at it. I was lucky because they had their act together and we brought the big purple flying dog to his knees! And that Z chick... brutal.

Stats! Amulets! Scrolls and Potions! Healers rock!

So I was hanging out with Alexwolf playing Vamp Wars on FB. She was chatting away on AQW. I say, "Did they ever release stats?" She says, "Yeah, there's stats." I say, "Whoo-hoo!"

I haven't played in a long time because AQW got boring. But I logged in and discovered all kinds of new, exciting, fun stuff! I really like what Artix and crew did with the healer. And stats are really cool.

I've upgraded my membership and am waiting for it to clear. I hope the paladin class is useful now! Can't wait to pull all of my mem-only stuff out of the bank and give it a try.

Oh, and one little thing: there's a bug in the wolfwing fight. Healers can't use their healing ability. I wish my membership got upgraded today so I could see if the paladin healing works. Oh vell, patience and all that.

Vampire Wars Ambush!

The clan listing on the combat page of Zygna's Vampire Wars is still off. All of those innocent looking bloodsuckers with one clan member will turn out to have dozens or even hundreds of clan members. This has been going on for some time (despite what the moderators are saying) on Facebook and even longer on MySpace.

Look, this is an easy thing to work around. Instead of getting pissed, hating on Zygna, and threatening to quit VW forever (like anyone cares), just go to a potential victim's profile page. Look at the number of abilities the bloodsucker has. This will give you an accurate read your opponent.

The clan size glitch is minor compared to other bugs and glitches, like people not getting favor points that they pay real money for. So please stop bellyaching about this. There's no crying in Vampire Wars.
